I'm just wondering if anyone can give me a few tips here so that I can understand the basics of how to do a difference quotient on a ti 89. I find solving equations really difficult. I work in the evening and thus have no time left to take extra classes. Can you guys suggest any online resource that can help me with this subject?

What specifically are your troubles with how to do a difference quotient on a ti 89? Can you elaborate a little more. I remember that not too long ago I too had to go through a similar time of worry . In my instance, my anxious hunt led me to a tutor in my neighborhood. But he was so tied up that he simply did not have the time for me. He was the one who in fact pointed out that now-a-days there is yet an added solution at hand. He initiated me to these great software programs in algebra.

I agree. Stress will lead you no where. Algebrator is a very handy tool. You don’t need to be a computer expert in order to use it. Its easy to use, and it works great.

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several algebra classes - Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and College Algebra. It is a truly a great piece of math software. I remember of going through difficulties with radicals, like denominators and perpendicular lines. I would simply type in a problem homework, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program.
